Just been sorting my seeds to get round to sowing some more and I have rather a lot! Flowers and veg.
22 packets to sow by this year, 27 for last year and quite a few for the couple of years before that! And I suspect there are more in the garage.
Many of them I get free with magazines or buy cheap at the end of the season. Didn't think I was quite this bad though!
Trying hard to sort the garden this year. Have a nice new veg patch so swotting up to make it a good one. And the flower beds still need clearing a bit before I can sow anything.
Don't want to waste them but..!!

If seeds are TOO old, may not germinate very well.

For the ones where you are not sure whether they are still viable, try putting them in a bag along with some moist kitchen roll - many will sprout that way.

I find starting them off in pots much better than directly in the beds, so you can do that to give you time to clear the flower beds.

If you can get some extra seedling trays maybe you could plant some up to give away to friends and family?

I am too, and don't sow all the seeds I have every year. I have been surprised by how much they germinate even when quite old. I do keep them in the fridge mind (we have an old one in the garage which we use for odd stuff).

Have you discovered the Seedaholics website? I think they are wonderful as they give such a lot of information with the seeds. And obviously designed for us Seedaholics.
