Been to my Dads allotment today , haven't been for a while as have been busy and he told us nothing was doing very well and there wasn't much to pick so we left it to him!
Well,we picked loads of carrots, courgettes, apples, beetroot.....
Anyway there is round green thing that we can't decide if it is a courgette or a pumpkin. It is where the courgettes were planted(but things did get mixed up )it is round(football sized) and looks like a pumpkin but is dark green like a courgette .There is another one but paler green which we think is a pumpkin.
Any ideas?

It IS a pumpkin. They start out green and then turn orange later (usually....)

Dark green or light green or both?
Was wondering if the dark one was a giant courgette or if I'd got the plants mixed up

Unripened pumpkin

There is a variety of courgette called Nice De Rond which is round, and when they are left to it, courgettes do become marrows.
