Watering plants when away: Tool for.

I could kick myself.. recently in a magazine or paper I saw an advert for some device that you fill with water, pop into the soil and gradually it lets out water to keep your plants (in this case tomato plants) Does anyone know what it is called and where I can get it from, (yet to check garden centres out).
Unfortunately I don't know anyone to ask to water our toms whilst we are away and think this gadget would help a bit to keep them alive!
Thanks in advance.

If you cant find the gadget I find upside down coke type bottles with the bottoms cut off them work well, and catch the rain if theres any.
Just shove them in the soil.
