How do I stop my Tete a Tete from flowering?

I have some in pots indoors and it looks like it will flower next week when I'm away.

How do I stop this or slow it down?

Is it a cool, dark place I need to put it in?

Many thanks.

You could try the fridge. I believe the specialist bulb companies that display at Chelsea refrigerate their bulbs to hold back their flowering till May. I don't know what effect being in the dark for a week would have on them though. They might not like that. Or they may be fine Confused

yep cool dark room or fridge. (shudders at memory of shunting irises in and out of greenhouses and cold stores and tying them up with tissue and string!)

should add though it may be too late, you need to pre empt flowering by quite a bit of time once they go they tend to just go

Many thanks for the suggestions.

I am indeed too late I think as one stem is about to flower.

I'll put them in a cool dark place anyway and see if it slows them down.
