planting spring bulbs now- madness?

i forgot/never quite found the time..until now. would it be sheer lunacy to plant them this week?

As long as the ground's not frozen you should get away with it... Are you in the uK?

Well either that or save the poor things in a cool dry dark place till next year

Bung 'em in. Nothing to lose. They may just come up later than usual.

I've still got a load of Alliums to put in.

Now is actually the best time to plant tulip bulbs. If you plant them too early when the ground is too warm they are liable to succumb to Tulip Blight. I spent most of the weekend planting tulip bulbs - done my back in, but it will be worth it in April Smile
