Stupid brambly type things growing in my LAWN ! How do I get rid of them without ....

killing my grass ? They have appeared in the last few weeks. I use Roundup on their bigger brothers, but it'll be hard to spray the leaves without catching (and nuking) the grass.

dig them out, by hand? i've got lots too, from next door grrr

You could use tumbleweed paint on gel which you can just put on the leaves you want to kill. Imagine you might get some of the grass but you could reseed after.

Also constant mowing is quite good for weakening weeds.

Also digging by hand.

southeastastra, I thought they had quite deep roots ? So if I try to dig them out I'm going to end up cutting throught the roots and making it worse for myself as they'll just resprout with avengeance.

Bio make a thing called 'Kills weeds on lawns'. says it all really. its a spray. takes a few days to work and leaves a wee brown patch at first, but does the job.
