I'm very new to fruit tree planting but would like to try growing an apple and plum tree. After some research it seems that the 'Queen Cox' is the best self pollinating apple variety and 'The Czar' is the best self pollinating plum.
Has anyone grown them and can you comment on how they taste and whether they develop a lot of fruit? In addition is it okay to plant them next to each other and if so, what should the space be between the two trees?
