Why are my tomatoes not going red?

We have lovely bushy plants with lots of little green toms but they are point blank refusing to turn red. We have been feeding them, giving them lots of water and being in the South West we have had plenty of sun. Any ideas?

the ones on my patio are the same. i think its because it was so cold earlier in the summer. ones in the greenhouse are just starting to go. be patient and make green tom chutney if all else fails

That's a good idea I hadn't thought of that. They just seem to have been green for weeks!

Have you thinned out the foliage so the sun reaches the fruit? Might help.

Mmm thanks I'll have a look tomorrow, though today I discovered 2 that are slightly orange finally!
