When can you re-turf?

Is it too late in the year to re-turf now? Not that we're ready to actually .

Avoid doing it in summer. Autumn (sept) or Spring (apr/may) are the best times to lay turf.

Late september is the very best time ....
then it gets a good bit of growth in before settling in for the winter and ready to look fab in the spring

We've just laid some turf. We've had a sprinkler on it day and night since. It's grown loads and been cut once. The guy that laid it has been back and said its settling in well.

Glad I found this, we are undecided as to turf or plant seed. Would late sept be the best for seed as well?
