Well chuffed. I only put us on the list a couple of months ago and got the email this morning saying there is one already for us. I get the key this afternoon :) We have just moved house and I was expecting it to take ages to get to the top of hte list.
We already have an allotment which we had at our old house but too far away for practicalities, the new one is half the size but we have a sizeable veg patch at the new house so with the plot and the garden we have more veg space than we had before. Very relieved that I will easily be able to move stuff from the old plot to the new one with no hassle.
And the best thing is that this is MY allotment. We had a tiny house before with no garage/shed/storage and the allotment shed was full of DH's junk tools. Now he has a massive garage to store that in I can finally have a shed that I can actually use for storing seeds, chemicals and all my gardening tools.
It's 5 rods - £24.95 per year including water. the other plot was over £100 this year for a 10 rod plot so very bargainous.
