Our veg patch isn't actually a patch but some very large pots on a bit of patio. This is the first year I've grown veg in them &, other than slugs, they've done quite well. The first lot of veg (the peas) are coming to their end so I'm trying to decide what to put in the pot next. I don't think the pots are big enough to support brassicas or leeks or anything so I don't think winter veg will work. Instead, once I pull up the peas, I was thinking of shoving in some annuals & then some pansies or something over the winter. Under these, could I plant some bulbs to come through for the spring? If so, could I tend replace the pansies with peas in the late spring? In seems like a great idea but I have no idea how it would work.
