You will get filthy! Wear old clothes!

Are you power washing it to clean it?

WildThongsHeartString · 20/06/2013 20:26

Eh, I don't knowBlush

I thought I would brush it, spray it with a cleaning solution and rinse, is that rubbish?

I don't know if I'm honest :)

We power wash ours to get all the stuff / old stain off it, let it dry and then repaint.

That doesn't mean your way won't work - how dirty is it? I think you will need to make sure it's completely clean before you apply the new stuff, that's all.

I'm in Australia and we use a deck cleaning fluid and karcher, then decking oil. I go for a dry but not too sunny day.

There are all sorts DIY deck wash recipes, and I'll be using them instead of the over-priced commercial stuf in the spring.
