How the heck do I get in to cut back the cotoneaster?!

It's all round my front door.

Masses of it.

Every time I enter or leave the house it's like running through a beehive! I know it's good to encourage bees but I don't like being so close to them.

I want to reduce the size of the cotoneaster a bit but when the heck do I do it? It's ALWAYS covered in bees!

Awww don't cut it back now it's flowering, it's waited all year! And the bees really, really need it, they've had a bad few seasons. It will stop flowering soon, in the meantime enjoy your little contribution to or beautiful planet.

Use the back door?

I'm such a fairweather gardener... By the time the bees go it will be cold and rainy and I won't want to do it!

You could cut it in the evening after the bees go home.
