Growing tomatoes outside

is it possible? I have grown tiny ones before Tom Thumb- and trailing types in a raised bed/ pot. Now I have bought a full size plant- do I need wait until it's very warm before planting out? I have a south facing sheltered patio.

My tomatoes are outdoors now, in very large pots. They like lots of sun and lots of watering.

You can buy tomato feed or make your own more organic variety, which helps get a better crop. I think there was a thread last year about various 'recipes'!

Mine have been outside for a month - they are growing slowly as it's not been that hot yet (south east).
