Hi, I have some spider babies, do I need to put them in water for the roots to grow or can I just put them in compost straight away? Thanks.

Second that either method works. I removed umpteen of the buggers in my raised beds and they still keep coming back, just one the soft carrots bulb thingies generates a new one.
