Olive tree in a large pot struggling

I planted two last year, the other is in the ground. The one in the ground has very green leaves but the potted one's leaves are greyish and curling up. Should I try Miracle Grow or something like that?

Oh don't worry! I have had one for years in a pot.

I suspect dryness, but could be cold or lack of sun. Mine did ok this very cold winter but it was on a south facing patio.

I don't think you need too much feed in a large pot so check the instructions on fertiliser for tree size plants. It's less than for flowers.

If mine has a miserable year like this, I wait till at least June to see what's what. Then remove any dead bits.

Also what soil is in the pot? It needs John nines or something sold, not light soil less compost ?

Hi onefewer
You're probably right, ill keep an eye on it, hopefully it will brighten up once the weather warms (although I'm in Scotland so it may be some time)
