Hi. We are enlarging our borders. Should we dig the grass/turf we have lifted back in to the trench or throw it away? Thanks

Find a little corner, stack it upside down in a heap, and soon you will have lovely soil to use again. I wouldn't dig it straight back in as bits of it may start to grow again, especially if there are any weeds in the grass.

Hope your boarders look lovely - I love creating more room for plants! What are you putting in yours?

I don't know what we're putting in yet - we've had a designer come around and she's drawing up a planting plan - but of course we need to do the spadework.

We both work FT and don't have much time for gardening - plus dh hates it - so I finally decided to get some help.

It should look fab when it's done! We're also going to invest in a Robomow to cut the grass while we sit down with a glass of wine on the patio and admire the plants!Wink
