Safe to plant shrubs?

Is it ok to plant some shrubs in my garden now or should I wait a bit longer - that's it really

Do you mean safe as in weather-wise? If so, depends on the plant, but most shrubs should be fine now, and best to get them settled in before really hot weather gets here. Just dig a nice hole, enrich with a bit of garden compost if you have it, and make sure you water it well. Keep up gentle watering over the next few months.
