recommend me a highly scented lavender

Just that really i have bought before but not very smelly. Also will lavender do well in pots rather than in the ground, thanks for any help

It doesn't do very well in pots, but probably better than in cold wet ground! Lavender needs good drainage, so if you're planting in the ground, dig in some fine grit.

French lavender has a strong and distinctive scent. Otherwise, have you tried Hidcote or Munstead?
