What's a good basic garden maintenance book for a first-time gardener?

We've just acquired a lovely 54' garden - mostly lawn, patio and decking but with well established borders. As former garden-less flat-dwellers we just need to know what jobs we should be doing - basics like looking after the lawn, weeding, etc etc.

The First-Time Gardener by pattie barron - it's my bible, explains everything you need to know - doesn't make any assupmtions at all - like knowing what a shrub/perennial/annual is, without being partronising. Along with a plant encyclopedia its the only book you'll ebver need. (and you won;t need the encyclopaedia unless you get addicted)
