Where should I plant my rhubarb?

Part shade, full shade, semi shade dry or wet? Our options are a little limited as although we have lots of space, I'm struggling to think of somewhere that is shady but not saturated. Started to dig a hole at the weekend and it filled with water about 3 inches from the surface! Any advice gratefully received!

Could you create a raised bed for it? Ours is in a raised bed to improve the drainage & has sun all morning & shade from about 3pm in the summer. It's on it's 3rd year now & seems quite happy! I think rhubard tends to be pretty tolerant of most environments so hopefully it'll be ok wherever you put it.

Rhubarb needs plenty of moisture, but doesn't mind shade.
