sewing hollyhock seeds any ideas

Hi,

I have some seeds I got from last years self seeded hollyhocks - how do i plant them and when ?

Hi - you can pop them direct in the ground in spring, but you won't see any flowers until next year. Hollyhocks are biennial, like foxgloves, which means they put on vegetative growth in the first year, then the flower spikes in the second year

just scatter them where you want them, and cover with a little bit of soil. Hollyhocks seed quite easily.

Thanks Sparrow, upset that they wont flower this year though.
I have no idea where these came from they are white and lovely we already had peachy ones in our garden and suddenly these white sprang up,
