Who does the gruntwork in your garden?

So much to do and am considering getting someone in to do the mowing.
Does anyone else do that? Who does it for you?

I do it. Reluctantly, while dp sits in here on the PCAngry
BUT he did sort the garden out over the course of a year so we actually have a garden to mow sooo....half forgiven.

DH does the grass. I do just about everything else. That includes heavy digging and digging up turf etc. Over time the grass component as gradually decreased and the borders etc increased. Grin Although we will have lived in this house for 6 years in August and I am yet to cut the grass. Used to do it in previous house - but have been pregnant/hampered by small child ever since.

We do get flyers through the door advertising gardening services. But personally would prefer a cleaner.

Dh does the gruntwork because of my RSI - I do what I can to help, but I struggle to grip a spade well enough to dig effectively, and can't do much of the heavy stuff. I make a good supervisor, though Wink and I do most of the weeding/potting/planting/less heavy stuff. Plus I get to choose the plants because dh doesn't really know/care much about plants and I do!

ME! DH is good with a project, but is not good with things that have to be done regularly like mowing the lawn. He doesn't 'see' what needs to be done.

I think its a good idea to get somebody in if there is alot to do though, even if just for a day. They might achieve in a few hours what would otherwise take you the whole summer.

didn't use to have a garden before this house and i'm don't have green fingers!!
Get a neighbour (who has lovely gardens) to do it and dh pays him

DH does all the mowing as I did it once and made an arse of it. So, fine by me!! We used to share the digging etc until I got pg and of course I have ds to look after now. I can put him in the backpack when we are gardening, but that restricts me to pottering in the greenhouse with seedlings and the like.
I'm quite happy with the arrangement, especially as DH arranged for a farm type friend to drop off about a ton of cow dung the other week.
Oh and I also do all of the cooking/blanching/freezing/chutney making/pickling etc etc of the garden produce
