How big do they have to be before you move them out of seed trays?
and into pots or the ground?

Specifically broccoli and lettuce at the moment

I normally put mine out when they have more than 2 leaves.It depends on how bad the slugs & snails are in your garden though-you may find that the smaller the plants are the quicker they get eaten.

I have put some in pots just because they were crammed in tray (kids plant in handfuls )
Will be sending some to school allotment soon though.

Have gone a bit overboard this year, allotment is full back yard is getting there and am even using top of wendy house
