Felco are utterly awesome

I sent them a pair of secateurs that had completely rusted shut. No acknowledgement, no nothing.. and I sent a cheque for 19 quid to pay for the service - had read about this deal, but was a bit Hmm

The secateurs came back this morning, in perfect condition, sharp as razors. WELL worth it since new Felcos cost a huge amount. Worth it for me because I have SO many roses. This is one business which is providing fabulous service...!

Really? Because i think I've lost my Felcos in the compost heap, and I'm hoping they're going to be uncovered when we empty it at the weekend.

I keep meaning to send mine off - they would benefit from some TLC.

::ashamed::

Rhubarbgarden · 21/11/2012 16:05

Do they really do that? That's made my week! I've been meaning to clean and sharpen mine for about five years

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 22/11/2012 13:29

I've just bought a sharpening file for mine, but really I want to send them off in case I botch the job to have it done by experts.

Rhubarbgarden · 22/11/2012 13:55

Where do you send them to? I looked on the Felco website but couldn't see anything.

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 22/11/2012 19:30

It's on the front page of the website

Rhubarbgarden · 22/11/2012 22:37

Blush Now why didn't I see that when I looked earlier?

Have to say, that advert that pops up is the best advert for secateurs I've ever seen.

Actually, come to think of it, I think it's the only advert for secateurs I've ever seen.

Thanks

I want a holster for my Felcos, so I can stride round the garden like Annie Oakley.

Have two pairs of Felco - one of them is over 20 years old.
Some day soon they might need servicing but not yet.

CuttedUpPear · 05/01/2013 01:43

I'm sending mine off pronto. I've worked with mine professionally for ten years, they could do with a trip to the secateur spa. One of the red handle covers even managed to fall off recently.

I think Felco used to do this service for free, maybe I'm just imagining it.
