How to hide ugly bins?

Got a side return down our house - quite shady. Has a stip of earth but not a lot grows due to shade. Thinking of digging it up and decking it and building bin and bike store - but worried it will look hideous from living room.

How on earth can I hide ugly bins without them looking naff?

Either trellis or fencing would work well. If its quite shady you might not be able to persuade plannts to grow up the trellis and watch out for slippy, slimy decking in winter.

There's something to be said for \link{http://www.flashtrashwheeliebincovers.co.uk/wheelie_bin_covers.html\naff} though! Grin

Oh no there isn't TG.
That plastic stuff is the equivalent of a Bobby Charlton comb over.
Makes the weakness even more obvious.
Nice bit of trellis, then plant some..bugger,what is it called?
That vine/creeper thing with flowers that is fine in shady places.
Clematis!!
Also Virginia creeper v good.

I think I should have put a Wink on my last post moondog! Those stickers are the 'bin' equivalent of a frilly dolly loo roll holder.

We have our bins at the end of the patio with trellis across the front (ie panel of trellis parallel with fence) and I have a clematis (montana rubens so very vigorous) in the border that I have trained across the screen. Not long now until it will flower.
