what fruit have you got this year?

Apparently it is a rubbish year for fruit thanks to the early summer deluge. But we had loads of plums, just very early. The tree was dripping at the start of August but had all withered away by the end of August. We have one solitary apple but next door's pear tree is heaving. We are in London, MIL who leaves in Worcestershire has had very few apples or plums this year but had a bumper crop last year.

We didn't try for anything but blackberries, which have come up lovely this year, best year yet, although that's because the bush gets bigger every year

loads of pears and raspberries. 2 apples, one of which fell off the tree and bruised and the other of which was attacked by grubs.

Last year I had a tree full of apples. This year only 4 apples. No bees to pollinate was the problem i think. Save the bees.

Looks like it depends where you are. We've got lots of apples (hardly any last year because it was so dry), plums, damsons and autumn raspberries.

Raspberries, gooseberries and loads of wild strawberries. The snails had the big strawberries, none left for the birds even...

The crab apple tree on the roadside has lots of fruit. Or did, but a man came and picked them all. It doesn't belong to any one, but it always seems a little rude to me for one person to clear out wild fruit.

I tried to raise a bramble patch, but it barely flowered.

South coast here and it's been cold.
No plums, no damsons, a few goosegogs, no Bramley apples but there is blossom on the tree in September!

Hardly any blackcurrants but a bumper crop of redcurrants. I might get three cucumbers and five courgettes. Runner beans rubbish too. Garden is more or less a famine this year. Scary!

Squirrels stripped the strawberries. Summer raspberries ok, autumn ones fab!

Nothing except apples, apples and more apples. Wild blackberries also good this year mind. Blackberry and apple crumble anyone?

Can I ask a (probably) silly question while you lot are talking fruit? My lovely neighbour left a bag on my door step with things from her garden today and I can't identify two of them. One looks a bit like
Blueberries but paler, tastes like red grapes? On a stalk like grapes but 30 or 40 on each stalk) The other was small yellow fruit with like a dried flower covering it? (you can see why I have had no luck googling with my descriptions!) any ideas? (did identify the beans and sweetcorn [proud] )

Cape Gooseberry for the second one? Can't help with the first.

Blackcurrants x 3 full bin bags and a handful of strawberry's.
No plums this year as the trees didn't flower :(
No gooseberry's as the birds ate them before i could!

A decent strawberry (and alpine strawberry) crop.
