Whitefly on brassicas anyone?

My small cabbage plants are getting attacked by whitefly on the underside of the leaves. Been doing a bit of reading up and it says just leave, or use some organic type of deterrent.

What do you do/have tried?

I had this problem last year. It was very hard to keep at bay, I sprayed with an organic spray and I think you can also try washing up liquid watered down. This year I've covered all brassicas with a protective net and so far so good.
