Very important question about sweet peas! Help!

I need to pick as many sweet pea blooms as I can on Friday, for my wedding on Saturday. I've been cutting them regularly to encourage growth, I havent cut them this weekend and there are loads of flowers. Will the flowers last until next weekend? Should I cut them now and hole lots more grow?

Mum think I should cut them all today, but I think the blooms will last until Friday. What would you do? It doesn't matter one joy if they all go to seed after Friday - but what shall I do for maximum bloomage on friday?

prepare a contingency plan. this has not been a great year for sweet peas.

No advice, ours are huge green leafy stalks.

Cut them now. If your Sweetpeas are doing well in this awful year then you will have more by next week. Todays flowers won't last. By cutting them now you'll encourage more growth. Use tomato feed.

I'm no gardener...but I've loads of flowers! They bloomed (!) last tues but are fading now. Just cut them. I think it would be risky to leave them til Friday. Can you order some just in case you don't get more flowers

Check how many buds you have and just keep cutting the ones that are right out in bloom leaving the others. I've got loads of flowers but am still cutting a bunch of them every day as they are over so quickly!

Another one impressed you have flowers at all - the plug plants I've tended, fed and wept over since late April are still about 7 inches tall. They're managing to make my hopeful plant supports look sarcastic. [green]
