Help! Overgrown 100 ft garden and broken lawn mower

Hi, can anyone please recommend a sturdy strimmer and lawn mower? Already gone through 1 strimmer and 2 lawn mowers trying to sort out the garden. I would post a picture but I don't know how! Any advice please? Thanks.

you could get a one off gardener in to get under control,

we always have petrol strimmers, as they are much tougher, you could hire one from the local tool hire for a weekend just to get in all chopped back.
