can you have electric hedge trimmers sharpened?

Just that really. We have flymo easi trim hedge clippers, they were really good but now frequently getting stuck on the slightly thicker branches. Can I get them sharpened or are they done?

Hedge trimmers are designed for soft new growth, apologies if you already know this but if I was given a tenner for every time I got called to trim a hedge that has not been touched for about 5 years and explain that this is now now a job for loppers and saws, I could have a lovely holiday.

you would be best not to sharpen an electric hedge trimmer, electric hedge trimmers only have a short life span, would recommend if possible to purchase a petrol one as this will help in the longer term and you can buy replacement blades for them, whereas for electric ones , you cant.
