I don't know if it's a garden plant or a weed (maybe it's both?) Blush Grin

It's the top one on my profile photos (above the kerrya/kerria/ other yellow thingy).
Sorry it's sideways....

Haven't a clue I'm afraid but would this be of any help? I'd look it up myself but I'm a bit lost on some of the terms.

I like your MN name by the way, makes me want to get some awesome wellies (having done the very rainy school run in my boring normal green ones on Friday).

And thank you deepfriedcupcake. I only got as far as Flower: yellow, Leaf:green, but it would have been greatly useful if I was more knowledgeable. Grin
Your name, while cool, make me alarmingly peckish....

If it helps, I've never quite had the courage to deep fry a cup cake, so also a bit of a pretender.

Thought the flower looked vaugely familiar, we had purple loosestrife round the pond at our last house, which was really lovely.

Yes , it's yellow loosestrife or - if you want to be pretentious la-di-da - lysimachia punctata.
