Ants in my plants

Ive noticed a couple of plants seem to be home to lots of ants, and one of my favourites seems to have lots of little black egg clusters. Baby ants of the future? A much smaller cutting I took of it last year already has some flower buds but it has none. Dont ask me what it is as I lost the name card that came with it. It's a creeper with fat spongey leaves in the shape of tarragon leaves with amazing magenta flowers that follow the sun during the day and close up at night.

Should I be addressing this or let the ants roam freely. I hate them but if they are doing no harm then I'll let them be.

If they are best gotten rid of, anyone got any suggestions, organic or otherwise?

Sounds like black fly and the ants are harvesting them. Either cut off the worst bits or wash in soapy water ( or both). There's also chemical options.
