terracing a sloping garden

It slopes away from the house, quite a steep upwards.

There is some scientific, rubbish terracing which is not great. I also want more flat by the house, so it needs redoing to my wants.

The two houses next door are higglegdy pigidly to mine.

I would like walls on the boundry with them.

I want a large shed and seating area on hard surface at the back, high, and hard at the bottom by the house.

Any ideas for sides and middle terrace. I have a lot of cottage perannuals, and I am not keen on mowing grass.
