New turf - when to cut or walk on?

We had new turf 3 weeks ago, after all this rain the gardens looking great! Very green and seems to have taken everywhere.

We haven't been outside at all so wondered how long til we can use garden as normal and when to cut it? It's pretty long.

Really don't want to ruin it as it's a replacement from our house builder and we've had a crap patchy garden for 2 years before this.

Cut it now, with mower on highest setting. You should be able to walk on it and use it as normal as long as you don't overdo it.

We are about to have turf laid, and the company doing it have said that after 2 weeks they come back to cut it (on highest setting) , and it is then ok to walk on. They also added that the wet weather at present is helping to speed up the 'bedding in' process as they would normally leave it a bit longer until cutting/walking on.
