new house, no open earth, no earth in surroundings, so the 3 cats are pooing in my containers and I need to mask the stench.
God that sounds so yucky like air freshener in a stinky loo. However I can't see much alternative at the moment.

Yak! Okay to deal with the cats get some cironella oil and paint it round the pots, they hate the smell. You will need to repeat this if it rains. Very important to make sure all faeces are immediatley removed so they are not tempted back to their toilet.
You could also try vaseline round the top of the pots as cats hate anything sticky on their paws. .arigolds are also hated by cats, put these around the edges and then do bamboo poles of sweet peas going up the middle for scent. Don't forget to pick them every day to get more flowers!

Sorry Marigolds!

Sweet peas are divine and I like the smell of marigolds too. Curry plant also occurred to me although that might be better on the other side of the yard to avoid an odd clash of scent.
