Chelsea chop......euphorbia wulfenii..??

Non flowering as I didn't prune it post flowering last year! Long, blind spikes, way too big for their site. CAN I prune it back now to a foot/18 inches? I'd like to but would it be a disaster?

I think it would look weird to be honest. But wouldn't kill it.
