Anyone point me in the direction of somewhere to buy it?

Need to cover a big chunk of the allotment!

The stuff talkin has linked to is a porous fabric that suppresses weeds but is only 6ft wide. I have some of it to create borders and its quite thin (or it wouldn't be porous).

But what I used to cover huge tracts of the allotment to kill weeds is a damp proof membrane that builders use. It's thick plastic and not porous and is also much larger. It's so strong that it hasn't perished in any way after 4 years and I've just cut smaller and smaller bits out and weighted it down as I've reclaimed the allotment.

it's 3m x 4m and is £19 at Band Q

If you live in Hertfordshire you can have mine now as I've reclaimed the lot Grin

Do you have a screwfix near you?

I used some of their £7.99 a roll stuff recently here but admittedly it was only for a border in my garden, so not sure if its quite what you're looking for as its only a metre wide? They do seem to do 2m wide rolls as well though.

Yeah that's the stuff Laurie. Shame I'm nowhere near you though!

Here's the stuff
up to 4 m wide - I have a 50 m roll I'm using
it lasts years
I cover cleared beds with it to keep the cats off too!
