I have been given some large pots to go outside on my window sil.

Can anyone tell me what i can plant in them now that's cheap and cheerful and that will give reassonably quick results?

I am not green fingered at all so need something difficult to get wrong!

Radishes
Strawberries
Lettuce
Mint
Spring onions
Shallots
Early potatoes
Spinach
Carrots
Beetroot
Chard
Chives
Dwarf peas
Those should keep you going, and generally only need watering when dry and keeping the weeds off

Do you happen know what flower bulbs i could plant as well - have quite a few pots!

You're a bit late for bulbs, plenty of perennials about though, you could plant bare roots of e.g.
Dutchman's Breeches/Bleeding heart
Echinops (globe thistle)
Echinacea (coneflower)

Or seed of loads of things
Nigella (love in a mist)
Sunflowers
Cornflowers
Oxeye daisies
Pot marigolds
