Garden in Sorry State

Since moving here, I don't seem to have had time to get into my garden, am now a SAHM so have hopefully nore time but no money, everything seems so dear, any cheap ideas to get me started.

Don't go digging the garden over yet. Wait and see what comes up. You could have some really nice plants in already. Look in April whats there. Then think about what you want to add, if you want to change the shape of the lawn, add borders or bark or gravel.
Annual flowers that you can grow very cheaply from a few packets of seeds will brighten the garden. Perhaps children could grow some sunflowers.
