what now with old hyacinths?

I don't like them in the garden- so do I throw away or can I keep them somehow until need to replant in pots next winter? They were in pots indoors- so maybe i can plant them in a pot outside and just leave?

Leave them in the pot of soil outside somewhere and keep them watered until all the greenery has died back. Then you can lift the bulbs out of the soil, snip off the dead leaves and store them in a paper bag somewhere cool and dark.
