Pretty climber for west facing fence

DH killed my clematis armandii this winter by cutting a major stem :-(. So I am thinking to replace it with something that flowers in summer instead of spring. It would need to be fairly vigorous and definitely evergreen to cover a fence which is approx 8m and west facing. Scented if possible too!

Any suggestions?

I have a white flowered solanum on a west facing wall which is meant to be scented [but mine doesn't appear to be].Mine is mixed with a clematis flammula which is scented though and a climbing rose [handel] which is really scented.

How about an evergreen variety of honeysuckle?

I have a honeysuckle which dies back to woody stalks in the winter and I'm not so keen on it - which evergreen one do you suggest?
