Container grown potatoes advice

I have grown a few bits of veg for the last 2 years but more by luck than any actual knowledge. I have a couple of books but none that address my question.

When I have grown potatoes in containers what can I do with the compost afterwards?

Do I just remove the tubers and roots etc and use it again? Can I replant potatoes in it or use it for my other veggies?

The plan for this year is to actually use part of the garden as we were able to remove the massively over-grown shrubs that dominated the garden last summer, but I still want to grow potatoes in bags. It would be more cost effective if I can do something with the left over compost.

This also applies to tomatoes that I also grow in bags in a little greenhouse of sorts.

I just add ours tO the raised beds. They sink & the compost refills it
