I recently bought some seeds for broccoli, french beans, carrots and aubergines specially for growing in containers. I'll have a look in the garage tomorrow to see who sells them!

I love aubergines , and we eat a lot of carrot they'd be good

Don't forget herbs as well. Easy to grow from seed or mini plant at the garden centre ( not supermarket pot grown ones). Parsley, Corrindar and thyme are my favourites for pots and basil for the window sil.

We did mangetout last year which worked really well considering it was the first time we'd grown anything.

runnerbeans are the best for climbing. Nice red flowers too.
