What to do with indoor basil, parsley and sage?

Hi,

I have a couple of basil, sage and parsley plants. These have been grown indoors but now winter has arrived they are not looking so well (well, more like twigs with a few leaves_.

Is it worth keeping them until next year or are they do go in the compost bin?

Many thanks :)

Basil and parsley are really easy to grow from seed so if they are looking past their best then you could always bin them. I grow some fresh basil a few times a year.

My sage stays outside all year round, it's on my patio so fairly sheltered and it's been fine for a couple of years. I don't know if it would be OK putting it outside now though, I've never had mine inside.
