40th Birthday Present for Gardening Girl

My sister will be 40 in January. Her and her husband have just bought their 'forever home' in the North East. They're both quite keen gardeners and the new house has a big garden. I would like to buy them something for the garden (budget MAX £150).
I thought of a tree - a fruit tree, a tree with beautiful flowers (but not cherry) or a tree that looks its best in January (if there is such a thing!)
I also thought of getting a bench

Does anyone have any suggestions as to what would be a good gift and also (if it's alive how do I get it to them and should I wait until the spring before delivering?!)

Have you looked at Crocus? They will gift wrap and deliver to the recipient's door. They're a renowned gardening company (not just a gift company who often know little about plants). Love the idea of a tree (or shrub?) and you can search the Crocus website on various features you'd like it to have. Fine to get it sent this time of year too - it's a good idea to plant them at this time of year when "dormant" and then they'll come to life in the Spring :)

I like the idea of a garden bench - you could get one of those comfy swing seats (though best also to get a weatherproof cover with it for rainy days!) Or if you're thinking along the lines of something decorative, Primrose London have a wide range of garden water features. They deliver direct to the recipient too.

Why wouldn't you choose a cherry tree? I think they're beautiful! Off the top of my head, I can't think of trees that look particularly spectacular in January... Though winter jasmine is very pretty (though not a tree...) Fruit trees are a nice idea as then they'll benefit from the produce as well and I heard that British apples are in decline as supermarkets often get them from abroad instead - so you could help them promote good old tasty British apples! :D
