Can anyone point me in the direction of a good place to buy online gardening presents? Thank you.

What sort of things are you after? I ordered some tools from this place and they were really efficient - but if you want them for Christmas you need to get a wriggle on because the last date for Christmas orders is Monday.

we love this site

wiggly wigglers

mainly as dh is a keen composter but they sell lots of lovely things (ice cream coloured trugs anyone?) and especially good for green/wildlife type things - we have an owl box and some bat boxes from there

Ok might help if I say what I am after. It is not as technical as these two sites provide for! I want one of those caps you can buy with the words Head Gardener on it. I have seen them in previous years in those charity catalogues you get with the papers, but I threw all mine away a few weeks ago. Any ideas anyone?

And yes, it is for Christmas! I am a late and disorganised shopper!

Try Crocus

ItllBeLonelymumThisChristmas · 17/12/2005 21:31

Enid! Of course it is! Well, it is for the gardener (dh) to wear when gardening!

Spot on WWB, you are wonderful! Now to see if they will deliver before Christmas!

Or Rosie Nieper

Enideepmidwinter · 17/12/2005 21:32

well ok

dh would rather stick pins in his eyes than be seen in a hat like that while gardening but there you go

terryschonkyorange · 17/12/2005 21:37

These both have some lovely stuff, I'm currently eyeing up the trugs from The Cutting Garden:

Well, have ordered it but they didn't say how long it will take to come so I will just have to cross my fingers. Thanks ever so much again WWB, I don't know where I would be without you!

Enid, it is a joke. Until today, I had nothing for dh- he is really hard to shop for. We have recently moved to a house with a huge garden, and while lamenting last night that I couldn't think of any presents for him, he mentioned that he rather enjoyed his new role as gardener. I jokingly said, "Oh I'll get you one of those head gardener hats then" and could instantly tell from his reaction that he thought that was a clever idea (he has a pale skin and is balding on top so he often needs/wears a hat or cap to protect himself from sunburn). I wish I hadn't mentioned it now as it will not come as a complete surprise anymore, but anyway....given that one thing I bought for him today was a pack of pants and no not sexy ones either, just ordinary pants to replace some where the elastic has gone, I think the hat idea is one of my better ones this year!

I know..... sad woman.

ahhhh sweet

hope you get one and he likes it

ItllBeLonelymumThisChristmas · 17/12/2005 21:42

Well, if it doesn't come in time for Christmas, he can have a new year present instead.

SackAche · 17/12/2005 22:16

Was tempted to post "I've bought a Gardener so can't help I'm afraid"
