Garden landscaping

Hi, I'm new here.

We want our garden re-done which will involve removing decking, laying down a patio, returfing some areas and reducing the size of the borders. We have a fairly small garden, say 11 metres by 11 metres.

Does anyone have an idea of how much this might cost - just a ball park figure?

TIA

I had approx 3m x 4m of patio laid for about £1,000

Thanks Parietal

Anyone else?

Landscaping doesn't come cheap. For that lot, I'd say a minimum of £5000 probably. I could be way off though. The hard landscaping is the most expensive aspect, if you choose a "luxury" paving as opposed to bog standard slabs, then you are talking serious money.

Get 2 or 3 quotes. In the current climate, you may be lucky to get a competitive quote. My BIL is in the business and he is madly busy, as he does loads of high value London based commercial projects - blocks of flats, hotels and all that, and he is inundated but he said most landscape businesses are finding things tough right now.

Oh that's what I was afraid of! We've had one quote of around £6000. I never imagined it would cost that much having not embarked on a project like this before! Never mind, two more quotes to go - here's hoping they're a bit cheaper.
