help - rose buds being attacked...

my rose bushes are full of buds, i have been watching them grow and am so excited for them to open.

Suddenly, several of them seem to be burned by an acidic substance that is clear and sticky abit like honey.... HELP!!! i am devastated! How can I save the remaining few buds on my bushes?

Thankyou

It might be greenfly - they leave a sticky deposit.

An immediate measure would be to spray or throw some soapy dishwater over the rose but you can get good aphid killers from supermarkets. I found the organic one works best of all.
