I want to redo my 10m x 5m suburban garden, currently an oblong of grass with a 3' border all around!

Any ideas of a cheap or even free program I could use to help in the positioning of 'structural' things like trees and patios?

Tia.

I saw a free one, (but didn't use it, so can't comment on how good it is), on a web site. I just have to remember the web site. I am 90% sure it would have been the BBC, but failing that it could have been gardeners world.

If you want planting advice too, I saw that www.woottensplants.co.uk do a border design service for £40 which I thought sounded good.

Look at the Crocus website. I used one of their planting plans for one of my borders, and it's been very good.
